UPLB-IBS’ Secret Garden
The Institute of Biological Sciences (IBS) is home to every biology major in UPLB. Walking in from Wing C, the Secret Garden is the first patch of green you’ll see opposite the IBS Lecture Hall (Main) and after walking several paces from Tita Jun’s hard-to-miss variety store. The garden is a retreat, a form of hideaway, whenever you need instant relaxation and peace of mind. We love the garden because you could just sit anywhere in it and literally disappear from sight. You could study or have private chit-chat with your friends or do some hush-hush org-stuff and be assured of unlimited privacy and unique bonding moments. Also, since the whole campus is being overhauled for the university’s centennial celebration next year, the bushes in and around the garden have become well manicured, not to mention the grasses and the three big trees in it are also groomed to perfection. In windy days, you could see brown leaves falling and the pink blossoms swirling down the trees in slowmo; delicate but amusingly powerful.

Nice pic! And yes I’ll surely miss this place. Sigh one more sem to go.

I come from Diliman (and currently I’m in Manila) but regardless of the campus, there’s *something* about the UP that makes it our home away from home, a place that everyone practically owns yet we can still claim to be *just ours*… God bless you as tread the path to becoming an MD! =]

Minsan akong napadpad sa LB. Ang alam ko lang ay duon sa may CVM. Sa ilalim ng mga puno ng acacia. Tambayan ng mga manggagamot ng hayop…

i’ve been to upd but not uplb. lucky you to have such a nice retreat. although i believe that it’s not the school but what you’re made of that defines your success in life, i still think highly of u.p. graduates. simply the best.
