Is it just me or is Erap doing early rounds for the 2010 Presidential Elections? I mean, what’s with all those countryside trips? He’s been appearing almost everyday on t.v. and his pictures and interviews are all over the news and radio. This man is having a ball despite the government trailing behind him to freeze his assets and confiscate his properties as compensation for the gazillions he supposedly stole.
I’ve never seen him so fierce in telling people off how he was bullied into accepting the pardon, how the unfair trial went on for almost 7 years and how his verdict damaged his reputation. He makes it clear that he was the victim, the sacrificial lamb of those who wanted him out and clamored to control the country. He’s not even shy to pinpoint PGMA as his enemy. The pardon is just for show, tells us; it’s as if he’s been given the pardon only to bite the hand of his master and give us more entertainment.
If your the kind who hates local loveteams and predictable movies, I think you’ll find yourself more interested in following the country’s continuing political saga. Not a day goes by without any intrigue or word wars or even corruption charges. You’ll be amazed at how our politicians never run out of fresh material to keep us happy and insane.
Holyfather:
I second the motion.
This is so anticlimactic, it hurts.
