The rally to support our Pinoy Jedi Knight a.k.a. Jun Lozada at the Paseo de Roxas in Makati City was a sight to behold.
Why?
(1) because it contradicted the ‘small’ number approximated by the PNP;
(2) because no trapo was there to gaze the stage with their cries for personal glory;
(3) because there was a convergence of the middle class, the students, the holy community, militant groups and the ordinary people; and
(4) because the protest did what they were supposed to: to let the administration know of their grievances.
The down side though is that, as if wanting to look busy with economic reforms and stuff, the President didn’t seem concerned. She was adamant that she will finish her term by 2010 and, speaking today at the Makati Shangrila for the Economic Briefing, said that she was ‘on top’ of the NBN Deal Scandal.
What worries me is that PGMA will hold on to her word and never cease to annoy us until 2010. With her firm grip on the PNP, the majority block of the Senate and local officials and the AFP, I have this nagging feeling that come what may, be it in the form of rallies, EDSA, impeachments and resignation calls from various sectors of the country, she will stand firm and pull the reigns even tighter. She has the ‘powerful’ licking her boots in exchange for power or money or whatever stolen goods from us.
The other thing I’m concerned about is that the most important sectors of the government are either (1) so willing to follow her blindly or (2) are too afraid to say no to her or (3) are too f*cking greedy to stop wanting to serve her. The DOJ and the Office of the Ombudsman are just two of the sectors to which I am referring to. The Law is supposed to side with us in times of crisis such as this. But honestly, with the chauvinist Raul Gonzales and Merciditas Guttierez heading the DOJ and the Ombudsman, I feel like doom is coming too fast and too soon that it’ll kill us in a blink of an eye. That fast.
In other words, PGMA can continue on thinking that our country is blemish-free because her loyal henchmen are there to clean-up and quash our efforts for true moral reforms.
I think it’s good to remain optimistic; that we can still think of a remedy to solve this plague that we are all in. But when reality creeps in: CAN WE REALLY DO SOMETHING TO EJECT PGMA FROM HER SEAT?
I was actually kind of surprised that the rally ended tonight. Or did it? I’m not exactly sure. I was just expecting that maybe people would want a bigger and longer rally.
that rally indeed was a success..in the next scheduled event/rally mass or whatever form to express people’s sentiment. my family and I decided to support it with our presence..middle class and hating the kind of governance that GMA has..cohorting with all the buaya’s that includes men from the congress, military and cabinet members whew!!!guys we must do something lets not wait till 2010 when our nation has gotten into deep, deep trouble of huge loan and let our children’s children suffer as well..economy growth??where??in some greedy individuals only???oh my GOd..SOS!!!
I cannot generalized. I always look at the actual facts. So far.. the nations opinions are divided. It’s difficult to assert such presumptions. They want to get the whole truth they have should filed this in the first place in the omudsman, not the senate. There’s no cross examination will be done in that department. so once and for all everything will be clear and will. They are just wasting more money public in character. tsk.. tsk.. tsk..
prudence:
the rally could last only until 8pm. that was what binay and the cops agreed on.
nennete:
wow good for you and your family that you joined the rally! i agree, we need to pressure pgma. but how? i think she’s immuned.
annsor:
i have doubts regarding the integrity of merciditas guttierez, the ombudsman. she is a close arroyo friend. the doj, on the otherhand is another arroyo run sector. the senate, where the floor is divided into the opposition, the administration and the independents and liberal party members, seems the more unbiased venue. but yes, if legality is concerned, the parties involved should file the case in court.
thanks for visiting!
its time for gloria to resign. she has been a headache to our country. not only herself but to include the idiot gonzales and mouthpiece bunye.
what headache are u referring to??? have u not observed that our economy has rocketed higher than any president that we had…..of course there are issues being thrown to the president and her beloved first fat guy.. ..opposistions won’t stop until they can get even to the president after what she ousted Erap and the so called garci call…..but who is honest nowadays…….the media (huh….abs-cbn vs gma )… the priests ( disgusting )………
hello nina well it be possible to add sombody to my contact so that i could easily read his blogs…. how do i do that….first timer here
dong:
gloria resign. bow.
decepticon 23:
the good economy that we have now e.g. the strength of the peso against USD is indeed an achievement. but only few are able to enjoy it. how about the ‘masa’? still, we do not have programs to help them, nor job opportunities, good free education and a functioning health system to offer them. actually, we ALL should be able to avail these things too. besides, what about good economy when the government exists for itself, that they are obvious frauds and crooks?
but then again, truth and honesty can be defined by which party you believe in. so okay lang yan decepticon haha.
add a contact where: to the sidebar in your blog or myblog, where po exactly?
fidel castro:
wow, very graphic description of a burial rite and death. though I do not wish them dead, i sincerely hope that these crooks, primarily pgma, will rot in jail. not in a jail given by the comforts of doj under raul gonzales nor by the office of the ombudsman by merciditas guttierez, but in new bilibid prison. fitting for high profile thieves like them. i agree, we need to stick together and get her out of her throne.
thanks for visiting guys!
death to the heathens.
i’ve often come across history about revolutions; and most of them revolutions succeed and last for years, because the traitors were executed; take for example the russian revolutions, the french revolutions, the american revolutions, at these revolutions succeed because the traitors were punished, they were killed. death sometimes give birth to long lasting peace and justice. take erap for example, his trial was just a farce, he now freely walks on this earth, or the marcoses, who now also walks this earth, and has the nerve to criticized government, where they themselves, committed plunder and committed indescribable crimes while they were in power. they shouldn’t have been set free, they should have made to suffered the way they made people sufffer under their rule; no. i do not want the arroyo’s in jail, i want them tied under a tree where i can piss and defacate on their faces; where i can stick my booger on thier nose, instead on under the table; and then i’ll stick and electric prod on their private organs, and have them whipped and kicked on the groin, and have them starved to near death, and then when they were about to die, i’ll have them revived, just to suffer the same ordeal the the filipinos suffer under their power. we don’t need no new form of government, we need to change all the leaders on this nation. have the old/experienced politicians be replaced by new ones. these old/experienced politicians have long been sitting on thier asses doing nothing. as a matter of fact, i could be a politicians, i can sit all day doing nothing (as opposed to those politicians who do nothing). the change is now. let’s beat the americans, let’s have a change of leadership before they do.
pgma showed much promise when she assumed the presidency. she’s well-educated, brilliant, and capable of doing great things for the philippines. she has even surrounded herself with some of the best minds. somewhere along the way, she has lost it. destined to become the best president ever, she has gone the opposite route. history will likely consider her and her administration as the most corrupt and abusive of authority. she has become the embodiment of the saying that absolute power corrupts, and when it does, it corrupts absolutely. what a shame to the legacy of his father.
the real score……
a “probinsyanong intsik” endangered himself for the sake of our beloved land. and we will just let it all pass. like the other controversies, the pidal case, the hello garci, the extra judicial killing etc. do we even know what happened to those people who sacrificed their private lives just to expose annomalies.
yah it would seem that all the traditional politicians are eyeing this as an opportunity for their political ambitions, but are we going to let their ambitions hinder us, we want a prosperous, untained, solid governance.. but lemme ask you is this that government, the kind of governance that you want your future children to see.
and guess what…………. I’m going.
not to support JUn Lozada, or the other politicians, but to support my self, the future of next generations, and the hope that one day, we could proudly say that We Are Filipino

fidel castro:
we have no death penalty (right?) so we cant have them executed. besides, i think reclusion perpetua is a more terrible punishment. with execution, its just death, quick death. but life imprisonment lets you torture the prisoner for a long, long, long, long, long, long…..time.
plaridel:
she was initially good and brilliant (she taught economics at UPD i think or somewhere) but she let herself be engulfed with greed. thus, who she is now. i think our political culture has a part in her or all of our politicians’ transformation.
aldren:
good for you that you will join the rally. though i must admit that joining rallies has never been my thing, I tend to voice out (or fight if this can pass for it) my objections via writing. I’m better in this medium than walking and shouting. I have to admit I’m a bit scared doing things like that. but for everyone who will go the rally, please be guided accordingly. godbless.
thanks for dropping by!
fidel :
……. defacate…..stick them….um…ahh….it sounds that you are more of a torturer than a patriot…. i could sense the hatred in your heart probably not only rooted in the governemnt… probably something else….. mamamatay ang lahat na magnanakaw na inihalal… hmmmm may matitira pa kaya….
nina:
you can’t easily expect the positive effects of a stronger peso/economy to tricle down immediately to the last strand of our society….. that there will be food on their table, new dress, medications, etc. in a snap…. it will undergo a duration……i could give you a basic example of the aftermath of a strong peso like our govenment was able to control the probability of insourmountable increase of gasoline prices….. if it happened that our peso was weak, i don’t know how much would be the kilo of rice nor isang lata ng sardinas…… but i am very much sure that masa will suffer more and castro surely assasinate arroyo ASAP…..ha ha ha ha….
nina:
she taught in UPD…… very brilliant lady … graduated with honors…..
Castro:
can we just kill her husband he he he he… sa kanya galing ang mga intriga eh…..
nina:
