The entire nation is now at the mercy of one ginormous, problematic scandal. And at the center of it, sits a man whom we now affectionately call J.Lo a.k.a. Jun Lozada. This man not only holds the ‘truth’ to unlock the ZTE-NBN scandal but he now stands as the ‘glue’ that keeps this nation from faltering deeper into a hopeless abyss.
Setting aside his ‘pa-showbiz‘ humor and guestings and speeches, Lozada is an undeniably strong contender which the Palace sees as a super major threat. He maybe telling some small inconsistencies, dates primarily, but what he tells the Senate and the public puts the government into constant panic; thus the release of all these black propaganda stuff about him e.g. his Youtube conversation with Joey and those nasty text messages about him etc.
So why is the Palace in such a frenzied state of fright?
They are obviously afraid. They release their dogs into the media or whatever medium they could hold on to and try to ruin Lozada. They think that by doing this, we can be blinded by their petty tricks. But honestly, we have become immune to these tactics and, I’m sorry to disappoint the PGMA fanatics out there, we have evolved to a more conscious and vigilant people that we should have been eons ago. We see through every bit of stupidity they throw at us and frankly these black propaganda they have for Lozada, is backfiring. Thanks to their efforts, the people are now waking up to see the ‘light’.
I sure hope that by some miracle or by sheer human force and cooperation, PGMA will get thunderstruck and boot-kicked from her seat. From the beginning of her ‘reign’ until now, that seat has never been rightfully hers so she should stop claiming it for herself.
I mean, isn’t this all amazing; that even if Lozada has not been technically proven to be telling the truth, or Joey de Venecia for that matter as well, the overwhelming support these guys have from the entire country is just huge, a big, big accomplishment. And it’s not just a big compliment for them too; it says a lot of what this country is all about. If you’re pro-Lozada/Joey then you’re an anti-PGMA. That simple, that fast. And hands down, the majority of the Filipinos would definitely go for Lozada. Why? Because we are tired of lies and corruption. We see Lozada’s testimony as a sure way of getting rid of a tyrant. Who in their right minds wouldn’t want that? If we could end her reign, then peace shall be ours…that is, if her successor will be made of the right stuff (no Noli de Castro please).
In the coming days, rallies will hound the streets of Manila, particularly at UPD (Palma Hall) where Law students of UP, Ateneo, UE and UST would stage their protests. See? Students, the holy community, the business clubs, the middle class, the ordinary citizens, basically everyone wants to join these rallies to support, not JUN LOZADA but their rejection of PGMA, the illegitimate President of this Supposed Great Nation, and her dysfunctional government.
God bless us all.
yes. enough is enough. Before, I just took everything in stride. Even mothers like me are taking action.
Hi nina!
Have you noticed Those people who make rallies in The streets of the Metro and calls for PGMA’s Resignation are the Same persons Who went to EDSA in 1986/2001 so that they would Remove Marcos/ERAP in their Position?
[*insert mike enriquez' tone here*] Yung People Power nila,Masyadong Fake…Masyadong Illusive,Kasi Kung Magawa man nila ang adhikain nila,Nakasisiguro ba tayo na makukuntento na sila? Hindi sa Mga Rally Maipapakita ang Pagiging MAKABAYAN.
If They want REAL People Power, Just show it In Eastern Samar,Mindoro Oriental and Bicol Regions…Where Heavy rains,Flashfloods and Landslides had affected the Lives of Many citizens There…..
[*insert mike enriquez' tone here*]
Lolz!
i quote from my latest post:
We have to be vigilant, this time voice out our feelings, our thoughts, and get out of our comfort zones. Let us be Eng. Lozadas or Vincents, even in our small way, to add up to millions. The FORCE of MILLIONs of LOZADAs and VINCENTs, of BLOGGERs, of MOMs and DADs, of STUDENTs (regardless of color, be blue, green, red, yellow, maroon, gold, etc.), of FILIPINOs, FILIPINAS, will be more than enough to shake the powers that be, they who remain to clutch firm their seats of power, to tremble and cower in fear, shudder, and finally run away. Let GOOD prevail over EVIL, and when IT happens, let it be a lesson to all of us to SUSTAIN and continue to walk in the path of the light. The FILIPINO will be great once again.
just a reaction… di po biro ang mag-people power. it cannot be staged, it cannot be contrived and more so it cannot be faked. people may rally on the streets everyday but it may not grow into a show of people power enough to topple a president. it did not happen in May 2001 when the pro-erap forces gathered in edsa, it did not happen in 2005 when there were daily huge rallies after the hello garci expose. but it did happen in 1986 and 2001.
people power cannot be staged and faked pure and simple. it has to get the support of a critical mass of people and nobody, not even all the activist groups put together can mobilize that much people.
the problem with people power is what happens after. in 1986 we failed to ride the wave of popular sentiment for radical change to create a better environment political, economically and culturally. in the end the trapos returned to power. the same is true with the people power of 2001. we simply replaced the president and no radical reforms were made. we put a president on top of a very corrupt system. that president took advantage of the weaknesses of the system and so here we are again on the verge of another people power.
do we commit the same mistakes again? do we not use this conjuncture to enforce radical reforms in our political system our economic system and our culture?
as for the suggestion to pool in the money of the people and groups who are moblizing against gloria to use in the relief and rehabilitation of disaster-stricken areas, even if you wring all these groupps dry we can never collect even a fraction of $130M or PhP16B. that figure remember is just for ONE deal. Imagine how much is being stolen from our coffers? the solution therefore is quite obvious… stop the corruption in government and you will have more than enough resources not only to fund disaster preparedness and relief and rehabilitation but also enough funds for decent education and health for the people. simplistic solutions cannot solve complex problems.
Each one of us must do our share.
hell no, i will not be rooting NOLI DE CASTRO for presidency, the government definitely need a major operation to remove the tumor, and we have to keep on guard because its malignant. Pork Barrel must be abolish, files on the government must come in handy, I mean we have the right to know where our taxes go, we must pull this country to the pit of oblivion. We are walking in a broken pieces of glass in this kind of governance, feet bleeding to a wound that would never heal. we must remove all the fragment of glass, every single one of them. how do we do that? i really don’t know how but i’m sure i will not find the answer sitting on the comfort of my sofa… Unlike all of you I’m determined to seek the answer.
When Estrada was the president, many want him ousted. He was ousted and then FINALLY proven guilty of corruption. Now that we have GMA, we want her out of her Malacañang. If by miracle GMA RESIGNS, Noli will replace her. But many don’t want Noli to lead the country. Then, who? Are we directing towards anarchy? God forbids.
noemi:
put everything together and hope all our efforts would do any good.
imbestigador:
politics can make or break a country. i actually believe that the law is a powerful tool to direct a nation into success or failure. our political culture (not system) is a mess, its a huge failure thats why these things keep coming up. people will remain restless because the government is not keen on keeping its promise of ‘for the people’. i think we need to do something about the government first and mainly, and then hopefully the rest would follow.
though i hate to admit that yes, the same people are still initiating the rallies now to oust pgma, people power has done our country good in the past. but honestly, i hope we give the people power revolution (the original version) justice and respect that it deserves. i hope the leaders would not use it for personal gain (asa pa ako).
sexymom:
yes, be vigilant. constant vigilance! more and more people are now speaking and joining the forums of lozada vs. the pgma/lies/zte nbn deal. and thats a good sign that our nation is finally beginning to move.
s3lvo:
did i made mention of an edsa revolt in my post? no, because even i do not fully support the idea of staging another edsa people power when the leaders that would lead us are trapos once again. im talking of a collective power; putting together all our efforts to do something legally and legitimate to unseat her. ive had enough of illegitimacy and for once i ask that we stop pitting wrong vs. wrong. it should be wrong vs. right.
aldren:
democracy my ass. pgma’s definition is about herself and enriching her family more and more by our taxes. screw her.
what do you mean, ‘unlike you’? we are all seeking the truth here if you havent noticed it yet. and i think pork barrel is not entirely bad. it may be perceived bad but most of our senators (the sensible ones at least) are using indeed to serve those who need it. hindi lang puro pagpapatayo ng basketball courts and stuff.
batang buotan:
someone from the justice department would do for me. god forbid nograles.

Great nation? Not yet. Maybe if we can get rid of the corrupt practices in the government and bring the corrupt officials to court and get them convicted, then we could be on our way to becoming a great nation.
Obviously, it doesn’t help when a deposed president had been sentenced to life imprisonment for corruption gets away with it by the wave of Pres Arroyo’s iron hand.
So will you be in any of the rallies, Nina?
Cheers,
Lester
Salvo:
i have a friend who once lived in a squatter area in Manila narrated to me vividly how they were enticed or lured to join rallies in exhange for a kilo of rice and a pack of canned goods. Just few walks, chanting and hola!!! They had food for a day. They didin’t even know what they are figthing for or rallying for….. the first time was followed by second, third, fourth…………… i heard the ” wage ” had raised into P 500 . This does not include organizer’s cut….
wasn’t reacting to you niña but to one of the comments po… sorry for the confusion.
How true!
Pero Naalala ko yung Sinabi ni JDV….Sabi niya sa speech niya bago siya Natanggal sa Pagiging Speaker: “Yes,I am a sinner…But we are all Sinners,That’s why I am asking you To Change our hearts….That’s why I want to lead a Moral Revolution,Together with Our Catholic Leaders and Civil Groups.”
Siguro nga Kailangan ng Change of hearts….But I think,That’s not enough….
We have to Have men with real intentions to our Country.
The Problem is: Pinako na siya sa krus.
I really Like this one!
Sana Maalala ng mga Tao: GOD Has given us 2 Chances so that we could show Our Government How powerful we are as a Citizen of our Country….Pero anong Ginawa natin?
Anyways,I’m not an Arroy Supporter…
And I Love your Blog
Have you Noticed that both Administration and opposition Camps are Parying for GOD’s Grace?
Pero tignan niyo…Pare-pareho silang nagtatawagang Evil
jackie:
thanks for the post.:)
lester cavestany:
im doing what i can through writing and blogging though. im better at it i think.
i said ‘supposed’ great nation. and yes, if we minus the greed and corruption and all those trapo running the government, we could be a great nation.
i was planning to go to upd today but coming from up los banos after my classes, na-trrraaaffffffic. sadly, there are no rallies in uplb being staged. i dont usually go to rallies (because my parents would kill me for it) but theres always a first time for everything. im just so glad my parents dont read my blog or else. haha.
s3lvo:
ooohhh…okie.
imbestigador:
i hope that im wrong but i think both camps are imploring the support of the church because they want more people to join their side. malakas humatak ang religion eh thats why during elections, politicians beat each other for INC and JIL’s endorsement. i think most of them do block voting, please correct me if wrong. thanks for the compliment! havent gotten round to check out your blog. will do it now haha.
thanks for visiting!
Yung El Shaddai Ewan,Siguro Maka-Arroyo sila….
In short: Dapat patas sila…Hindi Patatas.
Anyways,Thanks for Visitin my Blog….Evangelion Fan ka rin? Kabarooooo!
The controversy only shows that there is an apparent lack of transparency and accountability in loan procurement and these resulted to backdoor negotiations and the process vulnerable to influence peddling. What we need is to reform the BOT and other development projects approval systems. All of us will be evils and bitches if we do make our acts together. Do we want history to be remenber and judge this generation as People Power repeated all over and over again.. same folks different strokes we will be a laughing stock in world community if we do act together our resolved as a nation. Reform the loan procurement system using TAP Principles unite the nation and move forward not backward.
…i mean if we do not make our acts together we will be laughing stock by the whole world and if we do not act decisively. my point is we are no longer in the 1986 mode of people power it was long gone and it has serve well for us. We need change that we can believe and that change is change within ourselves. the stigma brought about by these scandal on our national life polarize political ideologist whether you are rightist, leftist or centrist to use our very own people to a form of clamor for the resignation of PGMA. In the U.S. when Richard Nixon resigned as a result of Watergate Scandal, his Vice President Gerard Ford has a difficult time from 1974 to 1976 to imposed policies by his predecessor since there was a World Oil Crisis then, my concern is similar as we are nearing or almost surpassing $100 per barrel of oil in the world market. Who will suceed PGMA?…of course Kabayan Noli but I think it will be a political suicide for Kabayan not to wait till 2010 for him to be given a fresh mandate by our electorate. the bottom line in dealing with the crisis is for those actors and actresses in the failed ZTE Broadband deal to submit themselves in an Independent Fact-Finding Board and prosecute those involved through our legal justice system.

yeesss…super eva fan ako. i have the series dvd and the two movies: death and rebirth. also looking forward to seeing the rebuild of eva. i dont know how but i sure hope magmilagro ang kung sino at palabasin sya dito. also love akira, ghost in the shell, wolf’s rain, escaflowne (series lang kasi the movie sucked), akazukin chacha (i love ria!!!) etc. super dami kong love na anime. haha.
martin:
wow. agree. but i somehow doubt that the doj would convict any of the bigwigs esp. the fg or abalos. most likely lozada would be the one who’d end up in jail. just a thought.
thanks po for visiting!
it still makes me wonder what’s in pgma that attracts so much loyalty from her cabinet, members of congress, church leaders, comelec, ombudsman, supreme court, nbi, afp, pnp, and the likes of raul gonzales, joker arroyo, mike defensor, and miriam defensor-santiago. what is it that cloud their vision and cause them to abandon their sense of delicadeza? pgma must be truly evil to have so much power in her hands. once again, it’ll be left to the youth of the land to boot her out office. tama na, sobra na, kilos na.
plaridel:
i wonder why she has a following too. weird. small but terribly terrible.
thanks for dropping by!
Wah! so You watch Horror Type Animes/
Suggest ko sa iyo ang Higurashi
Wahhh! Off Topic!
Anyways:
EDSA I, EDSA II, EDSA III EDSA IV . . .WE CAN GO ON AND ON AS LONG AS THERE ARE UNFIT, INCOMPETENT AND ABUSIVE PEOPLE MANNING OUR GOVERNMENT. WE ARE BLESSED BECAUSE WE ARE CAPABLE OF DOING THESE?
imbestigador:
higurashi i sort of don’t like. ewan. pero ill try watching it a second time. also love the cutesy anime like twin spica, gakuen alice, honey and clover, ranma etc etc etc! dami talaga! fullmetal alchemist, midori no hibi, karekano and fruits baskets i also have their dvds hehehe.
the office of the ombudsman and the doj are pgma fans. tagal na. haha.
chito soriano:
communal action doesn’t literally translate to people power. i think it would be proper to do it legally in the courts. though i have reservations with the sc to actually process impeachments cases against pgma, we can’t keep doing rallies to make her resign. i think its time we address the issue legally.
thanks for dropping by!
Sans any media coverage, I wonder if the senate will call on Jun Lozada et al…
phil. updates:
wow, never thought of that before. without the media we wouldn’t have known anything about lozada.
thanks for dropping by!
since J’Lou” was exposed the scandal about ZTN, i watch every details in the tv i was earger to know the truth and excited on the controversy that he stated… every interviews was seen but now it seems that nakakabingi na, nakakahilo…. nakakairita na WALA na bang ibang news?
afrilyn:

thanks for dropping by!
allan:
i hope we could do that. we all could that; politicians included.
