As far back as I can recall, the PNP said that there were six (6) suspects in the RCBC robbery-murder incident last May 16 according to their, uhmm, witnesses. Two out of the six were said to be uniformed men – one apparently was a former member of the AFP – while the remaining suspected suspects were members of a notorious organized crime syndicate operating in the Calabarzon area.
Several days later, four (4) men from Tanauan City were killed by the Task Force RCBC because they were, based on police intelligence (?), involved in the said crime. A couple of days more, one (1) man from Calamba City was also killed by the police in connection with the crime. Then two (2) men were placed under police custody for illegal possesion of firearms and one (1) former AFP and three (3) were arrested - all involved with the RCBC. And one (1) woman too is bound to get arrested.
I don’t know about you, but somehow the number of suspects doesn’t add up to six. But then again, I’m terrible at Math so what the hell should I know about simple addition, right? Gosh, the PNP must be using some kind of new math principle that is yet to be taught at school. Awesome dudes. Keep it up.
But by simple observation, I thought they said that there two (2) uniformed men involved? Hmm, dearest PNP, I think the remaining uniformed suspect is left unaccounted for.

niña:
I am amazed at the amount of interest you have in the RCBC robbery massacre. This is what Johnny 5 has to say about the latest inpuuut:
Oh dearie dearie! First UPLB is bad at teaching speeeelling.
Now, UPLB is bad at teaching maaaaath.
Baaaaad inpuuuuut!
Honest, it is kind of hurting that I had written about 18 suspects just a few days ago , perchance to enlighten you niña.
The RCBC TF did not know that at first but they do know now.
Now to confuse the issue by saying that there were 4 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 3 + 1 = 6 is I think not fair. After all, it makes it clear as mud that in the first place there were really 18 suspects and not 6 as originally announced before the more decent operations came into fruition.
I grant your determination and firm resolve to keep repeating for your satisfaction that what you call rob (rub) out up to kingdom come.
At the end of it, whether chr chair De Lima is right or not, I maintain that while there are a lot of places in Batangas that are truly, truly safe and you can leave your house and car doors open forever and nothing will ever get lost, and in these places, there is a lot of respect from the youth for their elders, in Bgys. Pantay na Matanda, Malaking Pulo of Tanauan and other selected areas, the Batangas Crime University City exist. If it were just me, and if we only had such kind of governance as in harsh collective societies I’d parade all the known criminals and accomplices, including their consenting / abetting / stage mothers and fathers, grandfathers and whatever, and shoot them all in the head like they did to the poor victims in the RCBC Cabuyao Science Park Branch.
Indeed some policemen are “in” on the crime. That will be borne out by the investigations sooner or later. This will also be revealed in other cases soon: police helping robbers-killers. Army, Navy, Air Force men helping these notorious shits.
But it does not have to be blamed on an entire institution.
Imagine if an entire community or school is entirely abandoned by the people who have sworn to protect and serve it because all of these protectors have turned towards the side of robbers-killers? I will bet a million yours truly and many other nitwits will all be certainly dead by now. And I wouldn’t be blogging anymore. Amen, amen, amen.

Well in relation to this,
In the Philippines if you want a tiger call the police. It will capture a cat and make it tell you it is a tiger.
So in relation, some of the police with its inefficient method of gathering intelligence could actually force some individuals to confess after hours of tactical interrogation (? are we sure it is just interrogation). So after the “good” (I still question their existence) after doing their proper homework will actually capture some of the real guys. So amidst the confusion of who got who, testimonies foul up and everything goes to drain.

admirable, the profundity and propensity for making sweeping statements. one wonders if a killer thief enters the house of such idiots when they can call upon adequate courage and strength not ever to call for help.
June 1, 2008 at 2:07 pm
well what do you expect with that agency?
I’m really surprise that they just accused people and eventually shoot them..where’s the justice in that?
I’ve no faith in the PNP.

Point taken, Girbaudz. But well beyond the “numbers” of it all, one cannot give praise to the wanton obsenity of the RCBC TF to cut corners.

spliceanddice:
i read between the lines. RCBC TF presented their story that they did not massacre, nor rubout one (Magsino) and three other suspects (Vivencio Javier, Ituc and Rolly). RCBC TF’s statement is not owned by PNP Region IV. not acknowledged. not accepted. not concurred. what else can i say more?
many days afterward, another set of suspect(s) were killed.
then, the Gen heading PNP of Metro Manila, announced they captured at least 5 suspects that were pointed to as actually being in the crime scene by the actual witnesses.
now why the Gen leading PNP Metro Manila and not the RCBC TF commander presenting the captured suspects and take note, A-L-I-V-E!!!
why?
because in any organization, there are smaller organizations. the cpp has now what, 11 or 12 breakaway factions?
the mafia has 1000 little mafias.
in student organizations in RP schools, a handful of young men and women forming a campus based political party is sometimes even riven by factions! imagine that !!!
in the United States, i met a small community of 120 people all immigrant Filipinos in their own village clubhouse– that was in Calif i think.
when i asked if they had an association, they replied with a resouding YES!
i asked “what association?”
they said, it’s in the bulletin board.
i looked at the bulletin board and EUREKA!!! there it was, or it were, as the case maybe, or as it were. truly.
one hundred and twenty associations in all.
each association president was the head or second-head-of-family.
im…. ima… ima….magine daat!!!
jesus!!!
i told myself, buti na lang, not more than 120. if that happened, the father, the mother and the children, will be presidents each of their own association.
susmaryosep!!!
so the moral of the story is, in the RCBC robbery massacre investigation, i’m tired of idiots claiming full knowledge and making sweeping statements about the fault of PNP, when if they really read their newspapers, there is not one, but probably 180,000 PNP organizations (roughly equivalent to the number of personnel of that agency).
specifically however, there are at least four to five organizations investigating or pretending to investigate the RCBC robbery massacre.
read, read, read dearies!
now, out of the several and varied organizations involved in the sleuthing or at least pretending to be, at least one or two of them are probably in on the crime. and that is what chr de lima should be on the lookout for!
to those who refuse to read and read well, i say, to hell with all of you and i hope you die.

girbaudz:
i believe the pnp has yet to clarify two things though: (1) was montano tolentino really involved and (2) where is the remaining uniformed suspect they are still pursuing? at least they have revealed their witness sa wakas, thank goodness that they do have one. and as soon as they have given a copy of the search warrants/ arrest warrants for the four men in tanauan, then i could be at ease that perhaps, maybe, that incident is not a robout. but until then, de lima has my vote.
June 2, 2008 at 5:48 am
my dearest niña:
i do not read anywhere that montano whatever the f*kg sh*t he is, is involved. but i cannot be totally sure.
again, if we read the news properly, the suspects presented by NCR and later by the representative of the head of the PNP organization himself, PNP Chief Spokesman, are the following: Joel dela Cruz, Security Guard, RCBC; Jesus Narvaez a/k/a “GIE”, driver of the getaway vehicle, originally touted before his arrest to be mol 30 years old, known address Brgy. Malaking Pulo, Tanauan City, was allegedly involved in bank robbery sometime in 2007 at Sto. Tomas, Batangas. Narvaez is the suspect in the gunslaying of Brgy. Chairman Rodel RIVERA, Brgy. Malaking Pulo in Oct. 30, 2006 at the victim’s own hardware store at Brgy. Bungo, Calamba City. Circumstances surrounding killing of RIVERA is armed robbery. Subject is suspect part of the JAVIER group. (Of course as you know, and because of what you call robout, patay na yang isang Javier — the elder. the son of course is still living and will still wreak continuous havoc upon this planet. shit!)
i actually posted the news article about the identified perpetrators, for your benefit and for the benefit of others who might not have stumbled upon it.
the other suspect is Ricardo Gomolon, an ex-Army element who was part of the Engineering Battalion based in Dipolog City; i think he was the first to be arrested by NCRPO.
the other suspects are Danilo Letoquet and Allan Bago, one unidentified female and several John Does. as i mentioned earlier there were no less than 18 criminals that robbed and massacred RCBC.
montano tolentino is not identified above neither is he — as yet — a known element in the robbery massacre. if he was killed, and the killing is a rubout, then those killers instead are suspects in the robbery massacre themselves. not possibly montano tolentino.
unlike the Metro Manila PNP that helped solve the problem, and not rubbed out the supposed suspects, the killers of montano tolentino, whoever he is to you — relative, lover or friend, son or uncle — to my mind are criminals.
these are isolated parts of the PNP.
they do not belong to the PNP and under other circumstances should be shot in a firing squad if proven guilty.
if there are other suspects, the PNP will not reveal their locations. that will be a totally stupid thing to do.
and in the private sector unless you are a relative, lover, daughter, niece, associate, partners-in-crime, etc. of the perpetrators, you would not be asking that question.
hopefully that does answer your need for clarification?

“Yes, we consider the case as solved with the identification and arrest of the suspects,” pahayag kahapon ni Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesman Chief Supt.

i respectfully understand your entry re the rcbc heist, but i just wanna air my side since my father, was one of the victims.
Task Force rcbc has been doing a lot to give justice for what happened last May 16 and I think it is just not fair if some people judge them policemen for not doing their job fairly. As i cannot disclose any information regarding the investigation and case here, we, the family of the victims, can tell the nation that, YES THESE MEN IN UNIFORM ARE DOING THEIR JOB and we are so thankful to them.
HINDI LAHAT NG PULIS AY KAAWAY. Kakampi din natin sila.
I think some “organizations” are putting some useless hype on some issues…giving more sympathy to those who are….well. I think they are forgetting na KAMI ang mga victims. Kami ang dapat mabigyan ng hustisya and HUMAN RIGHTS.
The policemen who are relieved from work do not deserve it. KUNG ALAM LANG NG TAONG BAYAN ANG TOTOO.
I myself felt bad after the presscon at Binan last friday, when one reporter asked for my opinion, I thanked the police, gave my piece but hell, they never showed it. Pinakita lang nila eh yung galit ko sa mga suspect but they never aired our side of thanking them policemen. still, they emphasized the cries of them families from tanauan and calamba.
SALAMAT sa TASK FORCE RCBC. Thank you for doing a great job and we salute you all.

les:
not all people will understand each other perfectly.
not all people will listen to each other and hear the other properly. neither read, see each other the way decent humans should.
people are bound by motives.
sadly, if there are absent motives, the worst that could happen to people is to be driven by stupidity.
if there was a way, the world be somewhat better by however meagre a percentage, if all the stupid people will just drop down and die.
with regard to your comment, it is commendable that you praised the task force. it is also unfortunate, that region 4, if you are ever from that place – the way i surmise, has a lot of cleaning up to do. unless an atomic bomb is dropped in the crime university city in that area, things won’t change for a long, long time. will only get worse. to think that the world crises affecting our country have gone so bad already, that place in batangas that has infected so many other areas, is making things worse for our country.
i dearly wish i could do more to help instead of pare down the institution that carries the oath of serve and protect. in so many places, they wear that motto like a really great badge of honor.
only stupid and useless, insane people won’t realize how important and truly significant it really is and unfortunately, there is no medicine for idiocy except sudden, painless death. because even excruciating pain won’t mean anything to them. tsk, tsk, sayang pa.
June 3, 2008 at 6:14 am
Stepping up and airing your side Les is really commendable. For someone who lost a father from a brutal murder and can’t do much but grieve , will want nothing but justice to be served quickly. Everyone knows that media has not always been true, so we can not base our judgements only on what we see, hear and read, maybe not unless you are really on the situation then by all means..go ahead. So the real question is .. what is our world coming to? i dont have definite answers for you guys.. but if the family of victim thinks TF RCBC has done a great job, lets leave it at that. If 4 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 3 + 1 = 6? is miscalculated, it must be coz media said so, same way as we can never find out who the bad guys really are from the media. But only thing that is important here, a father died, a good man. Innocent people from RCBC were murdered, and families of these people struggle to still live a normal life which was selfishly snatched away from them, and for now, the TF RCBC is who they rely on. The people who seek justice as well next to the victim’s family. My heart goes to the family of the victim of the RCBC robbery. May justice continue to be served.

it’s not that the pnp can’t do the math it’s just that they’re aiming at a moving target. i’m afraid they don’t really know how many people were involved. they probably have to shoot and kill more suspects to arrive at the final number. let’s wait and see.
