Recession is not everyone’s favorite word right now. It bites, it stings and it leaves everyone in misery. Analysts say that the US and European recession will affect the Philippines in full swing next year. And we thought this couldn’t get any worse.
Worse is when, side by side, corrupt government officials are caught wisking the people’s money off to conferences in Moscow or when well-known ‘architects’ are sent straight to a posh hospital instead of being taken to the Senate. In times of crisis, we see people in power steal our money right under our noses. Its a shame how these crooks have ‘honorable’ next to their names when in reality they do the exact opposite.
The Senate should have more balls because, although most of the senators are male, they lack the libido to use their sworn powers to do the rule of law some justice. I mean, come on, Villar is just playing doggy along witih Verzosa and Puno. What ‘contingency fund’ and ‘intelligence fund’ are these idiots saying? What sort of drama is Bolante cooking up inside St. Lukes? These people take us for fools.
Is it too much to ask for honesty and decency from people in power? The hell with Villar and his OFW commercial; we all know its an early campaign material for 2010. The same goes for Legarda and her corruption themed commercial, for Bayani Fernando and his ugh* grouchy MMDA posters and that irritable pa-gwapo pose his got and for Vilma and Bong’s possible clash for the VP.
Whether that 700++ million was used for PGMA’s campaign or whether that excess 7M was truly intended for ‘intelligence’ crap or whatever, the people wouldn’t believe it. I wouldn’t, that’s for sure.
