Just looking at this composite picture makes me gasp for air because (1) it makes me want to boycott the 2010 elections and (2) it makes me realize how doomed our country will be come next year.
These candidates or would-be candidates are not all bad. Personally, I could go for Roxas if he doesn’t marry Ms. Korina Sanchez. I just don’t see Sanchez as a likable first lady because I find her rather ‘plastic’ and I just hate how she never ever comes out like a real person in any of her shows. And let’s be honest, they could have never picked a much time to publicly announce their wedding plans, right? I don’t think Sanchez would win Roxas enough votes to make him president. Maybe he might even lose some because of her. But even if Roxas has a good track record, he seems unlikable for the position too. I don’t know, he seems boring kasi even with that ‘Padyak pa, Padyak!’ commercial of his.
I love Binay and I love what he does here in Makati but I wouldn’t want to give him away for a position which would make him more susceptible to corruption. Not that he isn’t but he could aim for the position by starting out small like running for senate first. Look at Palparan and his majestic entry into the senate, right? Anything is possible. Besides, I have a bad feeling Erap would make a come back if Binay comes to office.
I once liked Gordon but now he seems angry and envious because he’s been left out a number of times by Pulse Asia as a popular candidate for presidency. He’s been attacking the other candidates for flashing their commercials on t.v. because he wants one too, probably.
On that note, I really really hate how these people advertise their wares on t.v. as if we don’t know the obvious. What these ads show us is how much money these dudes have and not their abilities to become president. It’s just lame how they could put themselves out there and do whatever cheap trick to entice us into voting for them. Does sponsoring the OFWs’ tickets for home make Villar a good president? Of course not but it shows how fabulously rich this creep is. Maybe his ad campaign says that if Villar could sponsor plane tickets then maybe he could pay for the country’s debt at WB too. But then again he would need to continue the C5 project to make sure he makes some money on his own.
Legarda for me has always been sour graping at De Castro since she lost the VP bid. This is pathetic. How lame could these two losers get? De Castro doesn’t do much except pat Manny Pacquiao on the back whenever he wins a new boxing title while Legarda does nothing but to, what else, relieve and recount how De Castro and PGMA stole her’s and FPJ’s would-be positions. Come on, tell us something we don’t know and even if Legarda tells her story a thousand times, PGMA will not step down. I mean, not even Lozada, could bring her down. Try targeting someone with a conscience not the devil, dear.
I’m not sure if Panlilio will run for president but I’ve heard sometime ago that he is considering the jump. I’m sure he is nice and that he means well but running for president cannot be good, much like allowing Pacquiao run wild in the Senate. There’s a good reason why the church is separate from the state: they have conflicting ideas. Generally, these two entities do not have the same definition for ‘good’ let alone have a mutual solution for cleaning and effectively running this country.
I like Escudero but I think he’s not ready for the position yet. I’m not even sure if he is running but he should ferment himself in the Senate first to gain experience. He’s still young and he has a lot of potential so he shouldn’t rush in with some of the other fools. Kiko Pangilinan might be Escudero’s rival when he does decide to run for president in the future.
And as if these people are not enough, Teodoro also wants to become president. Well, he should run because PGMA says so. I don’t really know anything about him apart from being the administration’s bet for 2010.

Ping Lacson is being the nicest gentleman of them all for letting Chief Justice Puno run instead. That is if Puno does run. I am all for Puno’s moral force but asking him to run for presidency may seem too much for him. But then again, look at his CV and see for yourself if he can deliver. But having a very good CV cannot guarantee anything, much more be a good president.
Maybe I am pessimistic or just too tired of seeing the same old foolish people try to run for office and bring the country down to a whole new level. Hay. If these choices are not enough for you, add these two people pa:

I believe in my heart that no court order or pardon ruling could ever prevent Erap from running for president again. And I believe in my ass that PGMA will stop at nothing to own this country by virtue of stealing.
The future for this country seems so bright, so frighteningly bright.

change starts within us. if you believe that this country has no hope, expect that you’ll never see hope until the last day of your life. don’t blind yourself with the things that the government do, instead, think of ways to help our country. di dapat sinisisi ang gobyerno sa ano mang nararanasan natin ngayon. in everything, we have a choice. God bless you.

Binay – You should hear what he is doing in Makati, especially during constructions. Words of the wise..
Villar – Maybe he is filthy rich already, but looking at the other side, has he shown any bad marks as a statesman? except for the latest snafu presented by Sen Madrigal of course.
Roxas – I hate his ad, early campaigning. And I share your point with Korina, eww~, what a bad taste

i don’t know much about these guys, but i think it’s moot. it’s likely that there’ll be no elections held in 2010. gma will make sure of that either by declaring martial law or through charter change.

Do you know if Dr. Martin Bautista will ever consider running for any office again? How did he fare with the Senate elections? I know he did not get the numbers but personally how do you think he did?

hi!
im not sure if he will run again. but he lost the last time he ran for senate. not in the bottom half naman. if i remember it right, he was in the middle along with his party mates.

aww i remember his main problem was the funds. he isn’t really as crazy rich as those dudes with the commercials. haha

1. Villar – Apart from being the rapper in the “lower” house transmitting the Erap Impeachment to the senate, he avoids an investigation by his peers, offers excuses during press cons. Excuses as we know are like anus, we know what comes out of it, evrybody’s got one. He ain’t above the law, no one should be. Candidate pa lang asta peste na.
2. Erap – Ex-con. Those with a criminal record are they allowed to run by Comelec? Bobby Dacer, Edgar Bentain case tied to him. I never liked that fatso, but I never went to any “revolting” EDSA rallies. The last one brought in Jose Pidal.
3. Mar Roxas – Acting stranger than the usual strangeness. Garlic gimmick, asking “pa cute” questions during a senate hearing on Telcos ripping of celfone subscribers. Makes the senate president (a victim hence the hearing) think of imitating his gutter language on stage. He’s face on TV makes me projectile vomit. Served under Erap, abandons Erap, Joins GMA, Abandons GMA, joins opposition. In 2010, ditch the pos.
4. Bayani – Oh I want to make him a hero, the decomposing kind. Shameless just like many of them. An audit the sucker now.
5. Jobama – Sorry, never was impressed with Obama. Wanted Mike Huckabee. The lousy copy cat can stay in Makati preferably retire from public service. Stay off the palace grounds mister. I hate political dynasties.
6. Panlillio – At least he’s no cult leader. Unlike the con artist living in Ayala Alabang, on stage under bright lights, red suite, white shirt, terno white pants, shiny Navy white shoes. Red ribbon. Spinning like a propeller. wtf is eddie velarde supposed to be? Let me guess..”He” text him to run and save the country. There’s another Eddie with a son serving in congress through a (lets) “party” list. The typical kind?…Eli Soriano, turd pusher, can suck a golf ball through a garden hose, wanted by the interpol. Panlilio is one of only three I am considering. Attributes are impressive, exposing bribe money from the Palace, going against the tradpol shenanigans in his province. And I also like Gov. Grace Padaca.
7. Puno – Said to be a man with integrity. Maybe, just not there on my list yet, but he’ seems to be working on it. Lets hope not by using his office as a vehicle. Its funded by all of us.
8. Loren – Nothing against women but I suffered under Cory, recovered under FVR, and now..Mrs. Pidal. Loren is not the Sarah Palin of the Philippines, that distinction I am awarding to Darna. Oh she’s a milf alright, she may not see Russia from Lipa City, and knows Mindoro is not a sovereign state, but all the same, they both can be at Air Philippines demonstrating the safety features of the Boeing 737 before gate departure.
9. Noli – The apple correction ape in Lorens eyes. The two of them can also return now to what they were. Celluloid characters with pre-madona complex. Noli has been observed to have a disgust to peasants when swamped, easily irritated when an ordinary man approaches him for assistance, he lets the cordon handle it, only and only when media is around. Never liked this sucker, he ain’t got my vote.
10. Chiz – Jackass. Juvenile punk. Smooth talking VJ? Oh presidential candidate? I thought he was the lead singer of Bamboo. NO! Go home kid, more for you to learn. The presidency is bigger than any occupant in it, it needs maturity in character. Don’t smooth talk me with your silver tongue. Grow up some more.
11. Gordon – One of three under consideration. SBMA, no TV ads, has experience, no health issues, has credentials, no issues (ICRC is not so can it).
12. Teodoro – One of three ..well..after that TV ad, is now about to be dropped from my list. Seems to be down to earth, maybe for the moment. A stickler to the law, with experience, impressive credentials, but it all boils down to one for me. Can he be trusted, with OCD funds for starters? It sure does not look good does it? Pfff!

Greetings,
Simply to say, having more than 1, (one), opposition candidate for the presidential race this coming 2010, is certainly favorable for the incumbent top leaders of our government. It does mean that the greater the numbers of the opposition presidential candidates, the sure win for the lone selected presidential candidate of the reigning top official of the Philippines.
A need to have a unity for the opposition groups to select a single candidate to represent them for this coming 2010 presidential election.
